To prevent fire and smoke from spreading throughout a building's HVAC system, the damper panel must be closed in the duct. Once heat is sensed, an actuator closes the damper but needs fire protection so it can still function. To meet this need, we developed a fire protection box using PyroFend^®. Belimo Actuator	Aerospace Application
HVAC Application - The PyroFend^® enclosure (above) houses a Belimo actuator that is attached to an HVAC damper system. This ensures that the electronic actuator will close the louvers shut when a fire is detected.	Aerospace Application - 7mm of PyroFend^® C was bonded to 7mm of a carbon fiber panel. Successfully tested by AMES Lab in CA at 3000°F for 10 minutes

PCB1 - Printed Circuit Board	PCB2 - Honeywell Electronic Control System
Control Panel Application - The PyroFend^® enclosure (above) houses an electronic circuit board (PCB1) for a control panel. This ensures that the programmed logic is protected from loss by fire from fire detection to fire suppression.	Control Panel Application - The PyroFend^® enclosure (above) houses a Honeywell Electronic Control System (PCB2) for a control panel. This ensures that the system controls and logic are protected from loss by fire from fire detection to fire suppression.
